Questions to BJÖRN LODIN
singer/guitarist/songwriter/producer
singer/guitarist/songwriter/producer

Le nouveau Time is waiting for no one vous est présenté par Björn lui-même :

At first, can you introduce yourself and tell us in few words your own career ?
I'm Björn Lodin, and I've been in this business professionally since 1982. I dreamed about being a rock star when I was a kid and I still have that dream... I started out my career in a band called SIX FEET UNDER, and after that I started my own band BALTIMOORE. Now I am in HARD and looks like I'll be here for a while :)
What are your own favorite styles and influences?
I grew up with Deep Purple/Led Zeppelin/AcDc... those albums are still my favorite rock albums. I prefer jazz on my spare time.
Which artist you work with or you worked with impress(ed) you the most ?
Many. In BALTIMOORE I've worked with many great and inspiring musicians... Thomas Larsson, Ian Haughland, Nikolo Kotzev to name a few. Still so many great players over the years... and counting.
What about your promotion work and your relation with press at the moment ? Do you get a good feed back about your new album ?
Mostly good and constructive feedback. Of course there are some "journalists" pretending they know 'a thing or two about a thing or two' - that is totally wacko... I guess they can't help themselves... I know I can't... But most press seems to understand we've done and what we're trying to do.

The mood is: good, bad, soft, hard, black & white. People shouldn't analyse the fucking thing to death... crank the volume and move with it. We're not re-inventing the wheel - we just try to give you a smooth ride :)
Where do you find your inspiration for music and lyrics ?
Everywhere and anywhere - this is not brain surgery... we just do it! Inspiration comes out of discipline.
What’s your favorite new track ? Why ?
I like all my little babies... they're all my 1st choice. Sorry for the boring answer :(
Do you think you will bring something new in music with your new cd ?
No, but I'm sure we bring back some memories... I think we represent a style that is somewhat "out of style" and I'm sure a lot of people have missed it.
Will you be touring soon and what can the audience expect from you on stage ?
Yes, we're putting a tour together now and I know Gabor, our bass player, wants to be barefoot on stage ;)
I wish you a big success with your new album !
And i thank you for this HEAVY SOUND SYSTEM interview !
You're welcome!
Message to HEAVY SOUNDERS:
Try to stay happy :)
